Novigrad
Novigrad is the perfect destination for guests who want to spend their vacation in the more private and special atmosphere of small coastal towns. It is located on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula, near Umag and Poreč.
As the ancient city of Neapolis, which was once located on an island and connected to the mainland in the 18th century, Novigrad has been at the crossroads of turbulent historical events throughout its history. This is evidenced by numerous written and material archaeological monuments, which can still be found in the city itself and its rich lapidary. The medieval city walls are also excellently preserved and, along with the church bell tower, represent the most interesting symbol of the city. During its turbulent history, it often fell into the hands of various invaders, which is why it experienced frequent demographic changes and rich cultural diversity.
